Thomas S. Voorhees ChFC^®, CLU^®

Tom entered the financial service industry in 1983 following five years of employment as a sales rep with Procter and Gamble. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1978 where he majored in business with a concentration in finance, along with minors in accounting and economics. He started with The Equitable by joining the Milt Walters Agency in Sioux Falls, SD.

Tom has obtained the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from the American College. He is part of Equitable’s Paramount Planning Group and is a shareholder in the Equitable Agents Reinsurance Company (EARC). He is also recognized as an Advanced Estate Planner and Qualified Plan Specialist.

Tom's business focus is centered on life insurance planning. He specializes in farm and business succession plans. He has developed many unique strategies to assist his clients in achieving their succession goals. From 2012-2013, Tom served on the National Associates Forum Executive Committee as National Chair of the Life Products and Service and Delivery Committee.

Tom enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing and most outdoor activities. He is active in his church and is involved in many service activities in his community. He enjoys time with his family; especially his grandchildren.
